Hello Bloggers!

Hey guys,

So, as Jake said, the blog will have a new writer. That's me! My job here is to help Jake write the articles and do what ever else to help and improve the blog. Well... Here I am!
I'm seventeen years old, a junior in high school, and I take a very active roll in all the things I do. I'm in a lot of sports, they include wrestling, football, and baseball. I'll be here often, catching you up on the latest Smallworlds news, events, people, and places. At least when Jake get's a little overwhelmed. I hope to help you in your journey through Smallworlds and to make the experience in the community and blog much better.
Your Friend,
Shoek

Christmas and the Cue Club!

Welcome readers! Christmas is tommorow and we all know what we want! A visit from Santa Smallworlds! Me and my friend Kim were waiting for him at the Cue Club.

The new Christmas items have also been released. They are all seasonal items and will be released again next year. We have a few new trees and alot of great food items. New lights and a brand new snowglobe are also released. We have the Supreme and Regular tree this year. Along
with turkey dinners, ham on the bone, new plum puddings, a bell cookie and, the snowman cookie. Magic donkey head scrolls are turned into reindeer head scrolls and they even included a glass of eggnog. The new snowglobe is a little ball of wonders, including it's own little house of fun! It's amazing to see all of the work these developers put in to this christmas. I hope you have as much fun as I do this holiday season.
Happy Holidays Bloggers!
Have fun,
Jake Snipes

Our blog blogged in a blog? That's a whole lot of bloggage!

I am sorry for some inactivity lately but I am glad to announce I have my drivers permit :D Here is a recent update! World of SmallWorlds was blogged in a blog? That’s right ladies and gentlemen we have a whole lot of bloggage going down (I invented that word :P). The official SmallWorlds blog released today 1/27/09 was all about SW fan sites. One of the things I really enjoy about SmallWorlds is how they are pretty interactive in the everyday lives of their citizens. The way they promote players, activities, events and more makes it an unexplainable experience.

I would like to thank all the fans of World of SmallWorlds. I wouldn’t be blogging if I didn’t have people interested in reading and learning new things about SW. You guys are the best and I hope on seeing even more fans come to this blog. Soon we will have one or even multiple new writers thus making this blog an even more enjoyable experience. Some features and all where missed but it’s a new year and my goal in 2009 is to cover most or all of the releases on SmallWorlds. Once again thanks for being fans and I plan on big things in the future.

If you would like to see the official article on the SW Blog here is the link> http://blog.smallworlds.com/2009/01/27/whos-blogging-smallworlds/

Item of the Month, Chinese Dragon. (January 2009)

SmallWorlds did it again. Another magnificent Monthly Collectable. I myself have had a long passion for China. Ever since I was a little kid I wanted to go to China. I just love everything about it, the food, the people, and the country. SmallWorlds really did an amazing job this month. The detail on the dragon is incredible and it is surely a collectable you will want to invest in.

But there is more to the item than just the looks. It’s to celebrate the Chinese New Year. What is the Chinese New Year you ask? The Chinese New Year starts with the New Moon on the first day of the new year and ends 15 days later on a full moon. It’s a time of coming together as a family and thanksgiving. They often hold religious ceremonies in honor of Heaven and Earth. Ceremonies are held to the gods that they believe in, and sacrifices are giving to remember family members who have passed away.

Some statistics etc are posted on the item. It really doesn’t have very many bonuses but it look really sweet. If you walk into a room with the Chinese Dragon Suit you will definitely make an impression. Like the official SW blog said "Many people are attracted to the design and allure of these majestic creatures, which can symbolize empowerment, beauty, wisdom, freedom, or a fire within oneself." The dragon is a symbol to people in China and other countries. So even though it just looks like a dragon to us it can mean so much more to others.

So there is a little history on the Chinese New Year, usually the item of the month has something to do with that month. Last month’s was a snow fox which suited well because it was December there is lots of snow in certain areas. So you can see how each item connects with something in that month. I think it’s great how SmallWorlds can involve many cultural themes into their game. It really helps other people understand other people’s cultures. Great idea SmallWorlds.

Head over to Mysterio's and pick one up, it costs 2,000 Gold. Just so everyone knows you can not buy the Item of the Month in Tokens, they only accept gold. It's the second monthly collectable and will be worth a ton later on just as any Item of the Month so all you collecters might want to make an investment.

Untill the next Item of the Month,
